BETA offers a variety of certifications to its technology students that test their abilities in various skills and prepare them for a career in STEM at no extra cost to them. Certifications offered include Adobe Certified Associate, Comp TIA Authorized Academy, Microsoft Office Specialist, and others. BETA is one of the few schools in its area to offer these certifications to its students.
Adobe Certified Associate
The ACA certification allows you to demonstrate proficiency in Adobe digital communications tools. It is offered to students who are enrolled in Digital Interactive Media, Animation, or Web Design. Certifications are offered in Adobe Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Premier, and InDesign.
AutoDesk Certified User
The AutoDesk Certified User certification confirms students have the skills necessary to continue their design careers in 2D and 3D design skills. ACU is offered to students in the Principles of Engineering and Civil Engineering and Architecture classes. Certificatons are offered in Autodesk Revit, 3DS Max, AutoCAD, Inventor, and Maya.
CIW Web Foundations Associate
The CIW certification makes sure that students have proven their understanding of important technologies that affect virtually every business. They are tested on networks, web basics, and working with a team in a business. The CIW certification is offered to students enrolled in the Web Technologies course.
Comp TIA A+ Certification
The A+ certification validates understanding of hardware and software technologies and certifies the skills necessary to support IT infrastructures. CompTIA A+ is a useful credential that sets IT professionals apart in the work force. This certification is offered to students in the Computer Maintenance class.
IC3 Digital Literacy Certification
The IC3 certification allows students to sharpen their skills with modern technology and become more effective. It is also a portal that opens up opportunities in the IT career field. This certification is offered to students in the Principles of Information Technology course.
Microsoft Office Specialist
The Microsoft Office certifications allow students to show their skills in the various programs of the Office suite. Certifications are offered in Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Excel, Acess, and Outlook. This certification is offered to the Business Information Management students.
Because BETA offers the above certifications, BETA has access to the logos of each of the associations.
